Job Description
Launch Development Finance Advisors (“Launch”) is seeking an entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, self-driven Senior Manager to lead a team of real estate professionals in our Dallas-Forth Worth office. The preferred candidate will have private-sector experience in real estate development, real estate finance, and/or public finance. Experience with Municipal Utility Districts, Public Improvement Districts, or Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones is preferred.

Since its inception in 1994, the firm has provided real estate and financial consulting services to residential and commercial real estate developers as well as lenders, public agencies, and other institutional investors. Our primary purpose is to assist the development community in financing public infrastructure using special-purpose taxing districts and private lending sources; accelerate cash into the project pro forma; reduce infrastructure costs; and mitigate transaction risks.
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate data required to prepare financial feasibility analyses in support of proposed development financing programs.
- Assist, as required, in implementing proposed development financing programs.
- Actively participate in the firm’s business development efforts with existing and prospective clients.
- Analyze client data using industry practices, legal concepts, governmental standards, and regulations to deliver expert recommendations on clients’ ongoing and anticipated development projects.
- Research and analyze the best financing alternatives for clients.
- Represent clients in negotiations with governmental entities (e.g., counties and cities), staff, and advisors, recommending appropriate courses of action.
- Serve as liaison between clients, governmental authorities, and other consultants throughout the development process.
- Review agreements and provide comments to ensure compliance with governmental standards and regulations, as well as the specific business points of each transaction.
- Build rapport with governmental officials, clearly communicating clients’ projects to develop strong working relationships and support clients’ compliance with legal and transaction requirements.
- Ensure work product and file support are consistent with Launch’s operational policies.
- Ensure engagements adhere as closely as possible to budget.
- Establish strong relationships with, and earn the respect of, key client contacts and the broader financing community.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to be a hero to the development and homebuilding industry.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate development, or mathematics.
- 7+ years of private-sector experience in development finance, public finance, land development, management consulting, or public accounting.
- Experience working with Texas MUDs, PIDs, and TIRZs.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- $150,000 annual base salary, plus performance-based bonus. This is a full-time W2 position.
